When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text). When you use the Service, we store the book details, marketing profile information, and content you create so the Service can generate personalized recommendations for you.

If you upload a book cover image, it is stored with our storage provider. If you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor collects and stores your payment details directly — we never see or store your full card number.

We use your information to operate the Service: generating your marketing profile, plans, and content, processing payments, and providing support. We do not sell your personal information.

To generate your marketing plans and content, relevant details about your book and marketing goals are sent to our AI provider to produce a response. This data is used to generate your content and is not used by us to train AI models.

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated data, other than what we are required to retain for legal or accounting purposes (such as billing records).

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate BookSpur: hosting infrastructure, a database provider, an AI provider for content generation, object storage for uploaded images, and a payment processor for subscriptions. Each only receives the data necessary to perform its function.

You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time from your account settings. You may also contact us to request a copy of your data or to have your account and associated data deleted.

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls scoped to your own account — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
